Hi welcome to the tenth in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.
My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.
I have to say that Miles against the Sinister Six was definitely the toughest matchup so far! After I got an easy win on Standard, I lost two back to back games in Expert before finally gaining a victory. Then I lost two more before getting my second victory. This is in large part due to the high amount of randomness in Expert play with additional cards that can dump threat on the main scheme and cause additional villain activations combined with fairly low threat threshold main scheme cards in solo play. Especially because the seonc main scheme comes out half full, 3 out of my 4 losses were during the final villain turn before I would have won in which both the first and second main schemes were completed in quick succession with no way to stop it.
The important strategy I've found for this matchup on Expert is to try and leave one villain up at all times so that you can stun or confuse it. You also want to really be set up before you move onto the second side of the scenario because the extra encounter card each round really contributes to the overall randomness of the scenario. It can also help to weaken multiple villains and then take them all out in one turn to get rid of loads of threat.
Martial Prowess and Web-Shooters are both must haves to make sure you can get the resource types you need for your various bonuses and Helicarrier, Champions Mobile Bunker,Ganke Lee and Team-Building Exercise can help you find and play the cards you need at any given time.
Try to use Drop Kick, Swing In, Power Within, Defense Mechanism and Web-Shot to stun and confuse the correct villain at the correct time. Your various allies will help with card draw and thwarting and can also be used to chump block a second villain activation if Miles isn't tough at the time. Then you can Press the Advantage and Clobber your way to victory.
This scenario definitely has a specific rhythm to it. You dont want to act too quickly but you also dont want to wait too long. There are also some very dangerous side schemes. Be wary of leaving out the Life-Size Decoy too long as they can hamper you when you least expect it. I also drew Shadow of the Past in every game I played. Good luck!

Oof, Shadows every game definitely didn’t help matters lol. I’m actually glad to hear this one was challenging, as I think Miles could really use a good challenge, and the Sinister Six should be harder than they often end up being. I love the inclusion of Assault Training as it’s so easy to use thanks to Double Life
