Hi welcome to the seventh in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

I was curious to try Ironheart in Leadership for her fight against Hela as I had yet to use her in this aspect and let me just say it cemented her S tier status if it had ever been in doubt. After crushing Hela in back to back games of Standard and Expert, I did the unthinkable and tried Hela on Heroic difficulty. I was rewarded with an early Shadows of the Past! It was a tense game but in the end, Ironheart still came out victorious! This is probably one of the strongest decks I've had the pleasure of building.

The deck is mostly based around the age old leadership strategy of using your allies as a resource for using Strength In Numbers and Band Together since what we really want to play are Ironheart cards as much as possible to gain progress counters. I can say that this deck can get her to Version 3 by round 2 if you're lucky and round 3 in most cases at the latest. Your goal in the first turn is to get Photon Beam so that you can take out Garm on turn 1 and gain 2 progress counters. If you're extra lucky you can also start with Ronnie Williams and Stroke of Genius. I tend to use a resource turn 1 to boost Child Prodigy but it will depend on what you pull.

From here your primary goal should always be trying to get to Version 3 using Photon Beam, Fly Over and Stroke of Genius. You can use Ingenuity, Brawn, Tony Stark A.I. and Champions Mobile Bunker to find and pay for your cards. At the same time try to get out some cheap allies. Ant-Man, Squirrel Girl, Maria Hill, Kaluu, and Moon Girl are all great choices. Primarily you will then use them for Strength In Numbers so that you can keep drawing cards. Keep 3 out at all times to power your Band Together and you'll be pretty much unstoppable. Keep in mind that Beast can essentially replace himself by pulling a copy of Band Together or you can use him early on to pull Stroke of Genius. Kaluu can be used to great effect to find Strength In Numbers as well.

I recommend remaining at the first side scheme until you're set up. At this point Ironheart will have plenty of version 3 counters to deal with any Tough status cards and you can steam roll the rest of the game. Photon Blasters and Propulsion Jets can pull some serious weight and Band Together plus New and Improved will have you laughing down any foe. If you end up with too much threat on schemes, Push Ahead can really save your bacon. Teamwork is useful if you dont have Strength In Numbers and want to get an exhaust on Brawn for his resource. Push Ahead is available if you need it in a pinch but honestly damage shouldn't really be an issue here. I had a lot of fun with this deck. I hope you do to!

I actually felt a little bad about this matchup lol. It’s so so unfair for Hela hahaha. The deck looks super good and I’m sure it would tear just about anyone apart!
