Hi welcome to the third in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

The third Match-up is Venom Vs Drang. Venom is an S-tier hero so I figured I'd have zero issues with this match-up but I forgot just how punishing the second campaign box was! I had no problem finishing off Drang in Standard. Then in my first Expert game I drew an early shadows of the past which really effected my flow. I got back on track but late in the game I decided to flip down for a rest. Drang was still on his first scheme so I accepted that he would pop it but I'd have plenty of room to take him down right after. Unfortunately I forgot the second scheme arrives half full and an unlucky draw of Advance took me down. I came right back swinging and took him down two more times on expert and even got my revenge against my nemesis set in the second expert win.

One giant tip for this Match-up is I highly recommend taking away Drang's Spear whenever it shows up since Venom is capable of Stun and Confuse and these will help a lot in your fight against Drang

Venom has one of the most powerful decks in the game so I recommend focusing mostly on his kit as your primary means of defeating Drang. Multi-Gun is really just one of my favorite cards in the game. Hopefully you can grab it in your first turn or two. Venom's Pistol are especially helpful for defending with Venom and I highly recommend defending with Venom most of the time since your allies, weapons and events can take card of the damage. It's better to save your health pool as a resource for playing more cards down. Grasping Tendrils can sometimes buy you two entire turns of villain activations, Savage Attack can help with minions and villain damage and [Behind Enemy Lines] (/card/20002) will get you to Confuse Drang so that you can flip down and heal with Project Rebirth 2.0 as needed. Run and Gun can be used to repower venom, your pistols and your multigun. I primarily use the Multi-Gun for threat removal but it can help clear minions as needed as well.

For allies, we have a focus on Guardian allies and we take advantage of Energy Spear and Boot Camp to really beef them up. Team-Building Exercise and The Power in All of Us help us pay for them and Spider-Sense and Knowhere help us draw cards.

For aggression events we can use Drop Kick to kick, stun and draw cards, press the advantage to punch and draw cards and Fusillade with our pistols to deal extra damage.

All in all Venom is one of my favorite heroes and I think Drang provides a decent challenge without being insurmountable.

This deck looks super powerful. Venom in aggression is one of my favorite combos in the game and this seems like it would be rock solid
