DIFFICULTY EXPERT

HERO SPIDER-MAN [MILES MORALES]

ASPECT AGGRESSION, JUSTICE, LEADERSHIP, PROTECTION OR ALL BASIC

Initially I was very apprehensive about this round because I knew Miles was next up and I have so very few games logged with him. In fact, I had only played his precon prior to this round. (That I can recall; mainly because Nova, Ironheart, & SP//dr caught so much of my attention during the Spider Wave).

So, not really understanding how his kit worked, this is how I approached it…

I set up a couple of games, using all the parameters of the round. Except, I only included the 15 card Miles hero kit and the 3 basic resource cards in my deck. Oh Man! Oh Man!

Had no idea how powerful this Spider-Man is! I quickly dispatched Sandman without any resistance. At that point I knew 2 things:

  1. The 25 “filler” cards need to feature plenty of Energy and Mental recourses.
  2. I need to fast forward to his Hero cards as quickly as possible and fuel as many of them as I can on each turn.

Enter Justice. The fastest draw engine I enjoy so far in this game features OWOA, Nick, and the Dinosaur Taxi. With clear the area, skilled investigator, etc. only question would be are there enough practical targets for OWOA? Answer: yep
