Hulk - Band Together and Pound the Villain into Leather

I realized that Hulk is an amazing candidate for Band Together because he has so many 3-cost event cards in his signature hero cards. Hulk Smash in particular is arguably the best 3-cost attack event in the entire game. Even better, Band Together triggers the overkill on it.

On my very first game with this deck (solo) against Expert Rhino, I was able to play both Hulk Smash events from my hand on the same turn... twice! I can't remember a single "Double Hulk Smash" hand happening even once in my two dozen games with a good Aggression-Hulk deck.

Setup:

Band Together and Strength In Numbers build your resource engine. You will want to 3+ allies out as quick as possible.

• Mulligan away any Hulk cards on the first turn to really go for Allies.
• Stay in Bruce Banner form for an extra turn if you can to try to make that second turn of getting out allies easier.
• Use Hulk's big hit point pool to take damage directly to protect your allies while you are getting them out.

Once you have three allies out, you not only have a Draw 3" using Strength In Numbers, but you also have 5! cards now that provide 3 resources (2x Limitless Strength and 3x Band Together). 5x triple resource cards make playing Hulk's normally expensive events much easier! You will be doing Double Hulk Smash turns before you know it!

Key Cards:

Another amazing thing about Band Together Is that a single copy can very easily remove basically any annoying villain upgrade/attachment. This is especially important for Hulk since he can't afford to spend his entire turn getting rid of a villain upgrade/attachement. He often doesn't have the right resources to do it anyway.

Command Team gives you more flexibility after exhausting your allies with Strength In Numbers by helping you un-exhaust them to Thwart/Damage and/or clear space for a new ally.

Note that you have a few cards which help you keep helpful allies around (Regroup, Make the Call, and Rapid Response). I like Regroup because it works kind of like a weakened Resourceful if needed, but it also can help bring back allies to your hand like White Tiger who relies on being played from your hand for her ability to trigger. In Expert mode, she is probably your most important ally with how many cards she can get you.

Kaluu deserves special mention as a key ally, because there are many cards he can target with his ability that can turn a mediocre turn into an amazing one. Strength In Numbers and Hulk Smash are the ideal targets, but there are enough events in this deck that you will almost always get at least 1 event to at least help you as a resource.
