Quicksilver - Hyper Sonic

An Introduction to Mach 5

Welcome to the latest attempt at breaking the sound barrier with the fastest hero alive, Quicksilver! This deck will focus on improving what we already have to build with because his kit is already very powerful once set up. But that's always been our problem, right? We're kinda... bad at first.

There are going to be turns where we wish we had just one more Always Be Running ready at hand for us to use and abuse when the time is right. And then it struck me like a punch at Hyper-Sonic speed. We really are one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, so why don't we start there.

More Speed! I Have To Run Faster!

This is equivalent to running 3 more copies of Always Be Running with the small caveat of needing an Avenger character to be our stepping stone. But that's not likely... unless we're playing Leadership. That's right, we're finally blue in this one! And to top it off, lets look at our next enhancement, Morale Boost. Having +1 to everything for a round is huge, especially when we consider our early game problems without our upgrades like Accelerated Reflex, Hyper Perception, Reinforced Sinew. Early game it's as if we had those upgrades for a turn, late game this is big since we go from 2/2/2 to 3/3/3. And that isn't even counting if we speed up to our Maximum Velocity!

Honourable Mentions

This section goes out to our Girlboss, Wanda Maximoff because losing her sucks. That's just a fact. So sometimes we want to wrap her up in a protective bubble called Ready for Action. This helps us with our survivability as Pietro whilst also giving Wanda and our other blue-gremlins time to breathe. And if worst comes to worst, we can always Regroup. This card is especially worthwhile when it comes to Kaluu. We like to run low-cost allies in this because we want to focus on our own kit more than Leadership. They're just meat shields until we become faster than light, after all.

This is really decent! I never thought about using Mightiest Heroes. I'll be using this against Taskmaster soon.

Thank you! :) @BloodVigilante. I gave the deck a first run (no pun intended) vs The Hood-Expert and Quicksilver ate him. Next step was Expert Drang and he was bodied through two phases in a single turn! Those extra 'ready' cards really help a bunch! Do tell how you get on vs Taskmaster! :)

So, I beat Taskmaster! It performed great. The only issue I had was I had the Regroups when I didn't need them, but didn't when I needed them. However, that's just rotten luck on my part. :) I will be recommending this my friends!

Excellent! Glad to hear that it worked out against Taskmaster! :) Yeah, Regroup is the 'If something goes wrong..' button for the deck. In this version I find myself prioritising Scarlet Witch's life a lot; with Kalu being a valid first choice for Regroup. Thanks for recommending it too!
Next test is taking him to Mad Titan's Shadow and seeing how he does :D
