Wins/Loss: 11-6 (65%) Decks: Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch Pros: Can deal some major damage, can control the Villain phase, if having the right cards. Cons: Low HP, makes you want to stay in Hero form

So these two Heroes are some crazy cool decks. I had received the idea of doing an Aggression Quicksilver from NocturnalAnimal’s “2 Fast 2 Furious” deck. He had the two greatest things: Friction Resistance and Jarnbjorn! Scarlet Witch’s deck was a mix between several Marvelcdb owners with some tweaking later on throughout my adventure. My adventure started as before, with an easy Rhino takedown. As you will have noticed on the chart, Quicksilver and Wanda had a rough go, which is strange because when I started this, I immediately thought with the mechanics of both, they would only have small trouble.

Klaw: Klaw is already fairly hard in a sense because he gets two boosts and his mod set includes Masters of Evil. I can’t tell you how many times that damn Shark came in to Quickstrike me when I was thinking of switching to alter-ego. I think I messed up when I didn’t find enough Thwarting events and kept trying to use Molecular Decay instead of just using Justice aspect cards. I loved the idea of two Hex Bolts in one turn but when I don’t have Wanda’s Crest, sometimes I would “Overthwart” and didn’t do enough damage. I don’t remember the specific details, but I am most certain I didn’t utilize the Witch's Justice side, and tried to rely heavily on the damage side.

Ultron: Same issues I had with Hawkeye/Ant-Man, which were...not dealing with the drones when I should have. With Quicksilver and Witch at low HP, I always include Endurance and even Down Time. However, it always came when I was too low, and it wasn’t enough to sustain the hits. I realized after this particular game that I needed to slow down and stop trying to destroy everything in sight… I almost took down Ultron I in one round because of how good the damage could be, but that got to my head, and I forgot about the thwarting and the state of the board.

Goblin-MF: Mutagen Formula was always the more straightforward in comparison to Risky Business. It took me a while to get the hang of Risky, and once I did, it became easier to manage. Mutagen, because of its straightforwardness, I thought I could definitely manage with The Fast and The Crazy. Turns out I was underprepared for the entourage of Goblins, and again only focused on the Main Villain, and not the minions...I think what was worse is that here I have a Witch with a Justice deck and I’m doing more damage than anything...it frustrated me a lot because I knew I could take him down if I slowed the pace and really thought things out...It may be an excuse but it also doesn’t help I only get to play when it’s late at night and sleep sometimes calls…

Taskmaster: This is where I did not utilize Scarlet Witch. She is Justice and yet I did not use a majority of her Justice ability, once again focusing on Hex Bolt and Molecular Decay. I’m not sure the psychology of why I always tell myself I should slow down and utilize the Justice and then go around and still want to deal damage. I let both Heroes get to low health, and forgot about the flipping damage for Taskmaster. If I were to play this group again I should definitely put some more Justice events within or at least utilize the cards I had!

Red Skull: Letting the Side Schemes get out of hand is a big worry for Skull. This was a case in which I was utilizing Witch’s Justice abilities and Quicksilver was not getting his Jarbjorn/Friction Resistance combo, and kept getting nerfed through stuns, Obligation, Shadows of the Past, and I forgot what else hindered, but it really showed me...I need to have both of these two working their magic! Skull was close to dying, but the schemes eventually got out of hand, and having acceleration tokens with yet another Shadows of the Past draw to Quicksilver, ended with him dying, and no way for Witch to take Skull on!

Drang: My last but very surprising loss...I have played the Guardians Campaign solo and two-handed, and Drang was always the easiest. Outside of the campaign I played him a couple of times to test out decks...still, he was a breeze. So, I have to tell myself it was the lack of cards needed to defeat him. Plus, the Barrage tokens ganging up on me with low health didn’t help.

Overall, these two made a great team with the right cards and when I stuck to my aspects in the sense that Witch was thwarting and Quicksilver was attacking. Understandably, Witch has a great utility to be a damage worthy Hero, yet Scheme will always creep up...and with my luck...two “The Villain Schemes” will come up! To be honest, Quicksilver’s awesome combo of Jarbjorn and Friction Resistance was only a small factor in a lot of the victories. I wanted to focus on that, but yet I also wanted to make decisions that could take down the enemy quicker. Ultimately, I really like the twins, but I would still work on tweaking their decks and making sure I can utilize them in the way they should be used.
