New way for me to play Cap.
Basically, take no damage and trigger protection’s sweet retaliate actions. After one defense (fully set up) you could direct up to 7 damage back at the villain with Electrostatic Armor, Dauntless, Sidestep, Counterpunch, Energy Barrier and Cap’s Shield, then ready with Cap’s ability and defend for your friend to do it all again. Prioritize getting Endurance out to trigger Dauntless. You could also slot in Hard to Ignore if you need some more THW. Shield Block will also help you keep your HP above the baseline. No extra allies because Cap will want to constantly defend. After you get enough upgrades out you should be cycling enough DEF events to keep it going.
You will do your work in the villain stage.
Bad for heavy indirect damage scenarios.
Unlike most Cap builds, you may want to avoid stunning the villain so they can attack you next round. Stunning is arguably more effective, but this is a new way to capitalize on Cap’s strengths.
After playing it more, I removed 1x Power of Protection and 1x Med Team. Added Black Widow and Nova for their abilities and a block in the most desperate situations. Works better now.
