This deck is entirely built to work with Venom's rival buddy Spider-Man. Since you won't have much options to do actual damage with this deck, just make sure you focus on your core aspect goal, which is thwarting!

  • Setup/Mulligan:

Basically, you want to get your guns in hand as quick as possible. Try to have 1-2 guns in your opening hand by doing a mulligan and then find the 2nd/3rd one with Flash Thompson's setup ability. Project Rebirth 2.0 is amazing to have as well, since it will help with setting up the board even quicker.

  • Gameplay:

Since your depending on your spider buddy Spider-Man to take care of damage, what you want to do is use your guns in any way they are needed each turn. Using the Multi-Gun on minions is okay, but you can also choose to remove threat if it suits your situation better. I've found that using my Venom's Pistol's and Multi-Gun can take care of most side schemes in a single turn, then by using Run and Gun you can help out with damage as well using all of your upgrades. Other than that, try to confuse the villain as much as possible with "Think Fast!", Concussive Blow, Scare Tactic and Behind Enemy Lines. Don't forget to use Venom's awesome resource generating skill to give your cards that extra punch when they require specific resource types! You can switch between AE and Hero whenever you see fit, since Venom can easily suppress schemes for a round so you can heal or get cards in AE when you need to.

  • Combo's:

Use your resource generating whenever you see fit. If you don't have Project Rebirth 2.0 on the table yet, you can always rely on 2 copies of Making an Entrance to heal you. If you have confused the enemy, don't forget to use Scare Tactic to give him a extra punch when he's dazed. Your buddy will appreciate the help! I don't really defend all that much in Hero mode, since there are a lot of low cost allies available who can take the hit. If you don't have the allies on the table, you can always take the hit and heal back up again in AE and combine it with Project Rebirth 2.0 healing to go into Hero mode again with a fresh lifebar.
