Gamora is your card combo drawer: "get ready", to activate her ability and draw into your combo cards.
Rocket Racoon/Beta Ray Bill/Hawkeye is your minion and scheme control.
Adam Warlock is your wizard: heal, thwart, damage depending on your need, also his ability is a response meaning you don't have to trigger it.
Stinger is your extra body for more card draw. discard her and play "make the call".
Playing Star-Lord, you want to go easy on encounter cards in the early game... Once your fully setup you can OTK the first and second stage of the villain.
