Drax has finally arrived and I couldn't be more pleased. His gimmick is amazing and in character, and he has some amazing cards that synergize well with so many different things. Also, Subdue is a great addition to Protection. Protection is an early favorite for him, as it allows him to retain hero form, but I went in a slightly different direction: attacks.

The (Not So) Basic Attack:

Drax has the ability to get the highest attack in the game: 5 with his signature pool, more with Combat Training. In addition to that, Intimidation, Parry, and Payback all rely on his ATK, so I felt that Adrenaline Rush would be perfect because it has so many uses. With two non-exhaustible knives that you always want to play, Mean Swing is a no-brainer to push the limits even further. C.I.T.T., besides having the best name, can be used to ready Drax for 3-9 damage!

Ultimate Vengeance:

Drax is at his best when he can make the villain attack him and sustain all of those hits. Toe to Toe and Counter-Attack pair perfectly with that, letting him pile on even more damage while taking extra attacks. In terms of sustaining health, Parry reduces damage, First Aid can keep Mantis healing for a long time, and Endurance raises the ceiling for all that healing. Flipping to Alter-Ego is also very helpful, but that can feel awkward because of the loss of Vengeance counters. However, the healing combined with the 6 hand size are more than enough of a draw, especially since there are five cards in this decks that give you vengeance counters.

Overall, this deck is very cheap, focusing on one cost cards to allow for two plays a turn before Helicarrier and Dwi Theet Mastery hit the table. C.I.T.T is a very efficient use of resources late in the game, but it and Adrenaline Rush are better saved until the rest of the board is set up. Often at the beginning of the game, you will have to make the hard choice of playing an important two-three cost card and doing nothing else that turn just to get the engine moving.

Other Considerations:

Hand Cannon could be a substitute for Relentless Assault, but I feel that the knives are too good not to play.

Avenger's Mansion is always helpful, but I was cautious about putting in four cost cards.

Cheap allies like Hulk and Angela can be very helpful. I would consider swapping them in for Relentless Assaults in low minion scenarios and maybe the second Combat Training.

Plan of Attack is a great wild card. If you think it's important, I would cut a Toe to Toe and a Counterattack for it.

Very interesting deck! I feel it will shine on multiplayer where scheme and stun does worry you sshould much.
