PVP is dumb, and here's why.

With this deck, you can win in 2-4 rounds.

  1. Mulligan for the Symbiote Suit. There are also three copies of Mulligan to help you in this hunt.
  2. Use your alter-ego ability to grab Maximum Effort
  3. Flip up and do 18 damage. If you're playing standard, congrats! You've completed stage I of the villain.
  4. The villain attacks and defeats you. You get a free flip down, where you will once again use your alter-ego ability and grab This Card is Fire.
  5. Flip up and do another 18 damage. If you're playing standard, you're done. GG.

If you're playing expert or 2v2, you may need another round or two to do some more damage.

I've included copies of Endurance & X-Force Recruit to give you a little more HP so that your attack events hit harder (useful on expert or in a 2v2 game).

Mutant Education is there to tutor your two attack events back into your deck so that you can grab them with your alter-ego ability.

Most of the rest of the deck doesn't matter, but if things drag out: IPAC provides card draw to continue tutoring for the cards you want Weapon X lets you tutor for an event X-Mansion pairs with Mutant Education to give you a little card draw Ready to Rumble lets you ready after recovering if needed Digging Deep just pairs with Weapon X

Sorry you had a bad time with PvP!

@boomguy Lol, I didn't have a bad time at all. I just don't care for it in this game because it encourages min/maxing instead of looking for fun and unique decks. It wasn't bad at 2v2 at MCDC, but still not something I'd do again.

Truthfully, I only published this deck to do the weekly one-shot in TTS, and for some reason, Hitch's Mod is not letting me import private decks after its most recent update.

Two turns seems pretty crazy! That means that you thwarted 4 threat and dealt 18 damage on the first turn! Pretty amazing to have a hero that can do that!

My biggest concern would be the enemy team having the opportunity to get in your way. You'll be facing 3-4 encounter cards on that first turn, 1-2 of which were chosen by your opponents!

@Astrodar I played this in 2v2 at MCDC, and we won every game within 4 turns. My teammate focused thwarting primarily and clearing guards secondarily, allowing Deadpool to focus damage on the enemy leader. However, in 1v1, "Yoo-Hoo!" can replace Maximum Effort in turn one if needed. I also failed to mention Deadpool's basic activation in the writeup, which can be used for thwarting or pinging toughs. His biggest weaknesses are guards and anything that can do indirect damage, which might kill him in alter-ego. The former will just extend the game a little. The latter is his loss condition. Opponents should definitely put the Cloak & Dagger side scheme in to counter Deadpool with Lightforce.

I was going to say... both sides have a main scheme that lets you pick a minion and a mod with a minion that deals damage directly to your identity (US Agent and Dagger). That feels like a hard counter to a greedy Deadpool!

There are some interesting dynamics that pop up in PvP!
