OH YESSS!
Ever since Meditation was spoiled I was eager to make it click! I've tried the card with She-Hulk and her cousin Hulk and, while it did its job, exhausting these heroes kinda leaves a bad aftertaste. War Machine does not have this problem.
This is the most fun Meditation deck I came up with, so far. Why does it click?

War Machine does not NEED to exhaust in order to seriously damage the villain. His upgrades (Shoulder Cannon, Missile Launcher) and events (Full Auto, Repulsor Beam, Scorched Earth) take care of that very nicely.

SO, you don't have to hold back from exhausting to put cool stuff in play with Meditation: Helicarrier), Nick Fury, Avengers Mansion, Mockingbird, Agent Coulson, Iron Man and, of course, Sonic Rifle!

War Machine notably benefits from the turns you spend in AE: fill up your Munitions Bunker, get TOUGH from Upgraded Chassis. You don't have to worry, as Sonic Rifle or Counterintelligence keeps the villain from serious progress in his scheme.

As I play true solo, Under Surveillance shines as always and buys you extra time.

Once in hero form, reduce threath to the minimum with Targeted Strike and For Justice!, as well as allies.

Over time, you build a stupid amount of ammo with Munitions Bunker, flip to hero, destroy the villain (bullet by bullet with Shoulder Cannon if you want to!).

Jan 30, 2022Have you considered chance encounter? It allows you to pull Ironman from deck or graveyard which lets you pull sonic rifle from deck or graveyard. |

Using Chance Encounter to get Iron Man is a good plan. However, in order to make it work more reliably, I'd use One Way or Another, and then I'd probably need some extra thwart. IMO this means building a whole new deck around Chance Encounter. For this particular ally, Call for Aid with only him as an Avenger ally, and Rapid Response / Make the Call is probably more reliable unless you really want to stick to Justice aspect. |

Mar 19, 2022This looks an absolute hoot! Havnt played in a long long time, but War Machine finally arriving in the Uk has given me the boost I need! I’m gonna be playing him 4P next week against Hela and Loki, are there any changes you’d make to make it a MP deck? |

I'd say in multiplayer, have another player do the thwarting and have WM play more attacks (Dive Bomb comes to mind since you have the Upgraded Chassis for aerial, maybe Drop Kick), and you can have even more supports (Quincarrier, Martial Prowess) to help.

Nice deck neo!! Such good synergy with war machine because you're right - those event cards and upgrades dish out serious damage.
